KA2 Insights: A look into the ServiceNow San Diego Release

12 April 2022

I have taken a deep dive into the advanced hyperautomation capabilities and intuitive design that promises to drive new levels of productivity, automation, and innovation.

I have to say, from what I’ve read and seen I am excited by the new functionality in the San Diego release. Once again, ServiceNow continues to build out the platform as well as announcing new capabilities. We are particularly interested in the new ESG enhancements, the key topic to be discussed at the KA2 Smarter Forum on the 19th of May at ServiceNow’s London offices.

It is amazing to think that since Aspen – the first location named release, ServiceNow continues innovating and enhancing the work experience.

Where will the platform be when we get to the Z release? We know for sure that ServiceNow will be on track to be Carbon Net-Zero.  Any bets on what it will be called? Zagreb? Zanzibar? Our money is on Zurich.

It is so important in our everyday lives, both at home and at work, that the user experience of the technology we consume is simple, intuitive, and welcoming.

With the San Diego release, ServiceNow takes another leap forward with the ‘Next Experience.’

Something that Dave Wright agrees with and covers in detail in his blog

The user experience is something we at KA2 have at our heart, ensuring that those that have contact with the ServiceNow platform, in the organisations we work with, find it effective, easy to use and enhances their work interactions with ‘Company IT’!

So, how do you improve the user experience? It is not just pretty colours, it is making the processes better, and with the new ServiceNow release comes improved automation.

It has been around for a while now, but ‘Artificial Intelligence’ is the key to improving automation.

The San Diego release more than delivers here, meaning that the increased ability to reduce technology silos is now closer than ever. It is not always the easiest to implement, but when done correctly, we find that our clients gain exponential value in that investment.

The San Diego release makes that more achievable.

In addition, the San Diego release brings ESG enhancements, with Ecovadis green ratings. But I suspect that this is just the start of the ESG journey for many, and across future releases, we expect to see the ESG capability in the platform mature significantly.

And KA2 will be watching closely, as it is one of, if not, the most important conversation that we are having with our clients today.

Over the past year, we at KA2 have been leading the way with ESG initiatives. In addition to being awarded a gold medal for our sustainability efforts by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, we have been working hard to develop and launch our own ESG ServiceNow application ‘COzNow,’ which will enable organisations to manage the entire CO2 asset lifecycle, understand their environmental position and drive decisions that influence their sustainability agenda. But more to come on that in the coming weeks.

For now, I look forward to seeing the Now Platform San Diego release in action.
