KA2 and Metro Bank working together for a greener planet

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the FStech ESG and Sustainability Solution of the Year award with our long-standing client, Metro Bank.

FStech Awards, FinTech’s biggest night of the year, will return on 16th March 2023 to recognise the best and brightest within the industry. This annual ceremony celebrates excellence and innovation within the UK and EMEA financial services sectors.

KA2 partnered with Metro Bank to beta test COzPro – The KA2 Environmental Application and they became the first financial services client to use the data-driven solution to drive their sustainability agenda forward in 2022.

The App has enabled Metro Bank to:

• Understand the environmental impact of existing and future IT estate

• Create a net-zero baseline and reduction plan with dashboards to record, track and report on carbon emissions
• Automate data integration to asset management and CMDB which allows a light-touch end-user experience
• Utilise the COzCompare functionality to analyse CO₂ metrics and influence procurement, retention, and disposal decisions to support emission reduction initiatives
• Demonstrate social responsibility to employees and customers and show commitment to tackling climate change
• Anticipate reporting requirements to meet changing statutory environmental and carbon tax implications.

“The interest in COzPro across Technology in Metro Bank has been exciting. The App gives us the ability to easily see, via a dashboard, the carbon footprint of our IT assets. Whether it’s a new laptop or an old phone, including those which are supplied/leased by vendors we can view and report on the key data across our estate. It allows us to plan strategically how long we keep assets for and then how we replace them or whether they should be reused within the business. 

Whilst we are in the early stages of maturing our CMDB, this will ensure informed decisions are made in future when it comes to the lifecycle of our assets, purchasing and even vendor selection.”

The ServiceNow scoped application is downloadable from the ServiceNow store as the only pre-configured solution to starting your net-zero journey!
