Data centre consolidation

A global financial information services organisation had a requirement to decommission, remove, re-platform and consolidate legacy assets within an existing data centre. The objective was to reallocate valuable real estate to accommodate a new business. This included project managing the physical delivery of new cabinets, cabling and power into the new space. The project was time-critical due to the existing datacentre’s imminent closing date. To achieve this ambitious deadline, it needed an experienced project team who had proven experience of managing the complexities multiple internal resources and external suppliers represents.

KA2 very quickly understood the entire project scope an assembled an expert team able to deliver the programme with the very tight timescale. Based on in-depth experience, KA2 was able to deliver a successful outcome, on time and within budget, using less resources than originally anticipated.

A highly professional team

“We have worked with KA2 for a number of years, across a number of infrastructure projects, using different engagement models ranging from flexible T&M resourcing to fixed price service contracts. In all cases the KA2 team have taken the time to listen carefully to our brief and desired outcomes and presented back a number of possible engagement models with varying degrees of cost and risk. Whichever model we have used, KA2 has consistently delivered a highly professional team with the right skills, experience and cultural fit for our organisation which has led to timely and successful delivery.”
