For any business moving from traditional Business Continuity Management to implementing a more holistic Operational Resilience Framework is not without its challenges. And if you are working in the financial services sector, hitting the Bank of England’s deadline of March 2022 is imperative. The Smarter Forum presents an opportunity to share insights and experiences of how Service Management plays an essential role in managing the Operational Resilience Framework.
The discussion will be led by Kelvin Ceberg, who specialises in helping organisations understand and implement Operational Resilience. Kelvin spent eight years at Barclays as the Head of the UK and European Business Resilience and Continuity. He transformed the Business Continuity function from a compliance to a risk-based approach supported by the four pillars of People, Premises, Technology and Suppliers, governed through an Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Lewis Martin, KA2 Head of ESM, will walk you through how the ServiceNow Contract Management capability delivered a mature automated solution to support Operational Resilience for the Supply Chain Service of a global wealth manager. In addition, he will present a practical guide on how a centralised and automated system of record could support your organisation’s needs.
The Forum’s purpose is to provide a platform that enables a group of like-minded practitioners to openly share business-related issues and explore new thinking in a non-sales ‘Chatham House rules‘ environment. By leveraging our combined knowledge and hands-on experience, we can examine precisely what we need from Service Management and what can be done to drive value from this vital business function. These highly collaborative get-togethers enable participants to produce practical answers to real-world user challenges.
With the last sessions focusing on several high-priority topics, including the obligatory Covid related ones, we intend to continue the conversations to expand the broader Operational Resilience themes. To extract maximum value from these sessions, the number of attendees is limited, and the published agendas only contain a small number of topics. Previous attendees have demonstrated a keen willingness to contribute to the lively and open discussions. The Forum has already engendered some excellent business collaborations and knowledge sharing, and we look forward to encouraging these positive attributes going forward.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or would like to propose specific agenda items for this or future events. Let’s tackle these important business issues together by driving outcome-based discussion activity. I am excited to hear from you.
The Smarter Forums are sponsored by KA2.
“I’ve found the ability to have an open forum with other organisations in order to discuss various components of Service Management in addition to ServiceNow capabilities has been invaluable. The sessions have had a high-level agenda concentrating on general topics, but are primarily led by the attendees and the specifics which they want to discuss at that point in time. “
