The drive for automation means that ServiceNow is rapidly gaining momentum across all industries. I am delighted to share that as of this weekend just passed KA2 has successfully completed another ServiceNow implementation project for a high profile financial institution – the second in a matter of months. Both were unique, time intensive projects which required skilled dedicated teams working in close collaboration with the users to achieve the agreed goals.
The most recent involved a leading asset management firm who were on a mission to upgrade their ageing ServiceNow capability. Although the existing system had served them well, they alongside other long term ServiceNow users, found themselves unable to effectively manage an overly complex, highly-customised platform which was no longer fit for purpose. Before we embarked on the ServiceNow change programme we needed to understand exactly what the client wanted to achieve. By challenging perceived wisdoms and providing practical advice and guidance we helped to reshape their thinking and were able to identify and agree their precise business objectives at the outset. Following our recommendations, the client opted to return to an ‘out of the box’ re-implementation following the latest configuration best practice. This provided a fresh start environment and a clean production instance that removed the onerous burden of ongoing technical debt. The refresh project also involved managing multiple integrations and data migrations.
Productivity and efficiency gains have been achieved, ongoing management capabilities have been streamlined and the new highly flexible environment can take full advantage of reduced UAT and release cycles and seamlessly incorporate new ServiceNow functionality and capabilities that previously had been difficult to achieve.
This was a team effort and we are truly delighted with the end result. Stay tuned for more detailed information about this great case study.
